Worship at CBF

Worship

At CBF we recognize that worship is first and foremost, "ascribing to God the glory due His Name" (Psalm 29:1-2).  True worship is not limited to the Sunday morning service but ought to be included into the whole of an individual's life in Christ.  Outward expression (corporately singing and lifting hands) as wonderful as it is means little if not flowing from a heart that has received the gift of salvation described in Scripture. As a body of believers, saved by grace, we appreciate not only the inspired hymns of the faith but the contemporary songs that have been such a blessing to the body of Jesus Christ.  May the Lord help us all to worship in "spirit and truth".

Our Lord's Day Worship involves these aspects.

  • Openning songs of praise and a call to worship.
  • The preaching and teaching of the Word of God.
  • Our response in song.
  • Our response in giving.
  • Our response in communion.
  • Our response in a time of prayer & fellowship.
